Rosewill food steamer has a 60 minute timer and printed graphics on the base with steaming time for various foods. After water reservoir is filled and steamer is turned on, the steaming process starts in less than 40 seconds.
The bottom tier lets the steam go through the holes upward to the other tiers. All tiers have different diameter.
The smallest tier, that comes with the steamer is designed to sit on top of the water reservoir with the other 2 plastic tiers stacked on top. This allows the steam to spread evenly and cook various foods.
The water reservoir has 2 vents that allow you to add more water if the water level gets too low without removing tiers during the steaming process. The steamer will automatically shut off if the cooking cycle is completed or water level is critically low.
The maximum water level marking window on the side of the steamer lets you see the amount of water in the reservoir. The lid has vents to release the pressure.
