Oster food steamer is versatile. It can be used to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Oster 5712 food steamer cooks rice, whole grain, oatmeal and eggs from soft boiled to hard boiled. It holds up to 8 eggs in egg holders. Tiers can be added or removed to prepare small and large quantities of food.

Oster 2 tier food steamer steams vegetables and meat while rice cooks below.

Upper tier is large and suitable for steaming large products such as artichokes, sweet potatoes, fish and other large seafood products. Bottom tier is small and suitable for smaller items such as baby carrots, long green beans, asparagus and more. Upper tier capacity is 3.8-quart, small bottom tier capacity is 2.3-quart.

How Oster 2 tier electric food steamer works

• Add water to the water reservoir.
• Place desired food products on the tiers. 
• Cover the lid.
• Use the printed graphics on the side of the steamer base to set the steaming time for your products. 
• Always place products with longer steaming time on the bottom. 
• If the products on the top tier are cooked, remove the top tier and continue  steaming the products in the bottom tire. Or Steam the meat in the bottom tier and add the top tier with vegetables later. This way you will have the whole meal ready for lunch or dinner. 
• Turn on the oster steamer. Plug it in and push the cook button 
• When cooking cycle is completed it will auto switch to Warn function.
• The steamer will keep the food warm for up to an hour.
