The steamer consist of 5 tiers, upper pot without the base, that holds the tiers, bottom water pot and tempered vented glass lid to release the pressure. Each tier is 12″ wide and 2.5″ high. The tiers surface is not completely flat. It has steps to prevent the holes from blocking. When the products are placed on the tiers, they don’t cover the holes. This specific design provides perfect steam circulation and even cooking. The upper pot is 10″ high, the bottom one is 6″ high. The steamer exterior has beautiful satin and mirror finish. The handles are riveted. The holder on the lid is made of plastic.
Each tier has an attached cup shaped stainless steel thing with a large hole in the center. It’s right in the middle of the perforated tier. The holes on the tires let the steam go through them upward to the other tires. Large holes in the middle of the cups also provide a good steam circulation. The cups can be used to steam vegetables, dumplings if there is no enough space on the tiers.
