Soak bamboo steamer in cold water for a few hours before use. Joyce Chen 10″ bamboo steamer is designed for use with pot, skillet or wok. Pot diameter must be larger than bamboo steamer diameter in order to place bamboo steamer inside of a pot.
Bamboo absorbs condensation and moisture together with food flavor. Using parchment liners when steaming products will prevent bad smell and stains. Due to woven wood construction it can be damaged easily if handled without care. Bamboo steamer needs care before use and after due to it’s natural wood composition.
