How Adcraft commercial hot dog steamer machine works

1. Add 6 quarts of hot water (to reduce the preheat time) into the base of the Adcraft hot dog steamer to cover the heating element. The heating element is coated. Make sure valve drain cap is screwed tightly closed.
2. Place all required parts according to manual. Turn the hot dog steamer machine on and set the thermostat control on the highest setting until steam is generated. For normal operation, set the thermostat control to 130 degrees. The adjustable thermostat has a temperature range from 85 to 180 degrees F.
3. Place hot dogs in the small compartment and buns on the wire rack in the large compartment. Make sure that there is enough room for steam circulation. To control the amount of steam in the bun compartment, use the adjustable humidity control lever located in the bun compartment under the wire rack. Keep doors closed when not serving. The doors are on the top with the knob handles.
4. Add hot water when necessary to maintain the water level. Do not allow the hot dog steamer machine to burn dry. If you run the hot dog cooker dry, turn it off and allow the machine to completely cool before adding water. Adding water to a dry hot god steamer while it is still hot could cause damage to the elements.
5. The Adcraft hot dog steamer machine takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to steam the hot dogs and 30 minutes to heat the buns. Humidity control in bun compartment allows you to adjust the settings on the machine correctly, so buns will not get dry or soggy.
