Secura food steamer has 60-minute timer and printed graphics on the base with steaming time for various food. After water container is filled and turned on steaming starts immediately.

The middle tier lets the steam go through the funnel upward to the other tiers and pass it through outer holes of each upper tier to avoid flavor mix.

The stainless steel bowl that comes with a steamer is designed to sit in the lower tier with the other stainless steel bowls stacked on top. This allows the steam to spread evenly and cook various foods.

Two tiers can be removed if you are not going to use them to prepare small amount of food. And you also can add additional tiers. Extra tiers are available for sale online.
