How Black & Decker 28-cup rice cooker works
Black & Decker 28-cup rice cooker is easy to use.
- It holds maximum 14 cups dry rice. For better cooking results cook maximum 13 cups to avoid spills.
- Rinse desired amount of rice and place it in cooking pot.
- Add water. Use the water-level markings inside the cooking pot as a guide for adding the right amount of water.
- For example, for 7 cup of uncooked dry rice, fill with water up to water-level marking 7. Taste depends on the type of rice.
- For softer rice add a little more water. For firmer rice add a little less water.
- Cover with the lid.
- Plug into a standard American electrical outlet.
- The Warm light comes on.
- Then press down the On switch.
- The Cook light comes on and cooking begins.
- As the rice expands and cooks, steam comes out through the steam vent on the lid.
- When cooking cycle is completed it switches to WARM automatically and keeps WARM while unit is plugged in.
